5 Points Gallery is pleased to feature Chapel Hill artist Ley Killeya's thought-provoking paintings. Ley will be showing Solitary Women, a collection of new abstract figurative works, each titled with a line from a poem or song lyric, adding deeper narrative meaning.

You will think you are gazing into a clear stream when looking at this diptych by Donna Stubbs. Its clear resinous surface glazes the menagerie of mixed media beneath. In her acrylic and collage paintings, Jenny Blazing offers her response to the diverse North Carolina landscapes. These paintings invite viewers to explore the intersection of fantasy and reality, where the ordinary becomes extraordinary.

5 Points Gallery in downtown Durham introduces a new exhibit featuring the work of artist Jim McKeon. The focus of the show is Jim’s epic new commission piece, Bridging The Gap, which will hang in the gallery for only the duration of the show before it goes into a private collection. Jim’s large scale pieces are often infused with local landmarks and current news while talking about the historical national issues of inequality and racism, as well as his take on the global issue of environmental warming.

So lean in and join us for our Third Friday Opening Reception on Friday April 21st from 6 - 9 pm. Artists will be on hand to talk about their works. On a lighter note, Susan Woodson's new paintings and mixed media pieces are loaded with color and a lot of fun!

Winter Wonders exhibit featured by Duke Chronicle

The Duke Chronicle has published a thoughtful review of our recent group exhibit, "Winter Wonders", on display in our Durham gallery from January to mid-February 2023.
