April 20 – May 13, 2023: Jim McKeon, Featured Artist
5 Points Gallery’s April 2023 exhibit featured the work of our member artist, Jim McKeon. The focus of the show was Jim’s epic new commission piece, Bridging The Gap, which was hanging in the gallery for the duration of the show before going into a private collection. His previous work, Breaking Glass Ceilings, is now part of the permanent collection at the Metropolitan Opera House in New York. Jim’s large scale pieces are often infused with local landmarks and current news while talking about the historical national issues of inequality and racism, as well as his take on the global issue of environmental warming. This exhibit was on display in our downtown Durham gallery from April 20 – May 13, 2023.
