May 18 – June 10, 2023: Donna Stubbs, Featured Artist
5 Points Gallery’s May 2023 exhibit featured the work of our member artist, Donna Stubbs. Donna uses an archaeological approach to painting, as she lovingly photographs her surroundings and unearths discarded items in thrift stores to create abstract mixed media works. Bright color combinations, images of the body, fabric, and vintage ephemera become unexpected partners that suggest an intriguing history as she intuitively combines collage, photography, and drawing. This exhibit was on display in our downtown Durham gallery from May 18 – June 10, 2023.
