Our featured artist, Yuko Nogami Taylor, finds profound inspiration in her Japanese heritage. Her mastery of the Nihonga painting technique reveals a vast range of hues unique to the precious mineral pigments used in this age-old tradition and symbolizes the delicate balance that permeates our universe. Each work radiates a quiet sense of tranquility and offers a sense of peace, strength and resilience in the midst of life’s tumultuous currents. This exhibit was on display in our downtown Durham gallery from October 19 – November 11, 2023.
