October 2023 Newsletter

Yuko Nogami Taylor, this month’s featured artist, works in the age-old Nihonga tradition of her native country, Japan. Her masterful use of symmetry, composition, and visual cues make her paintings simultaneously powerful and delicate. This exhibit will be on display in our downtown Durham gallery from October 19 to November 11. Please join us for our Third Friday Opening Reception on Friday, October 20th from 6 – 9 pm, and check out the latest works by our nine Triangle-based artists in a range of mediums including painting, sculpture, fused glass, and mixed media. Artists will be on hand to talk about their works.

NEWS FLASH! On Saturday, October 21st from 2 – 3pm, join our member artist, Teddy Devereux, for a captivating “show and tell without fire” as she demonstrates her fused glass techniques. This will be a rare behind the scenes demo!
