May 2025 Newsletter

Ever felt like the earth is trying to tell you something? “Listen”, the current exhibition by our featured artist Jim McKeon, is an artful reminder of the profound connection indigenous peoples share with our planet. It is a touching invitation to slow down and listen. Can you hear the whispers of the caretakers and the cries of the protectors?

Who wouldn’t want this little fledgling, painted by Susan Woodson, to land on a wall in their home? (“Pretty Bird”, oil painting by Susan Woodson pictured at right).

Please drop by the gallery for our Third Friday Reception on Friday May 16th from 6 – 9pm to view the latest works by our nine local artists, ranging from sculpture and painting to fused glass and mixed media. Artists will be on hand to talk about their work. This exhibition will be on display in our downtown Durham gallery through June 14, 2025.
